Kettlebell Classes
This class is great for everyone just starting out with Kettlebells, from here you will evolve into an intermediate or advanced Kettlebell practitioner, you will learn things like the Kettlebell swing, you will learn that the swing is not a squat and frontal raise, you will learn how to snap your hips and use your arms as a Pendulum only.
Even though the focus is on technique, this class is still a hard class and you will get a great workout no matter whether you are extremely fit or not.
For those wanting more advanced moves and get an even harder workout, we have our Intermediate and Advanced Kettlebell classes.
The TOUGH Spot has some very attractive memberships available for Kettlebells classes (all fitness levels), starting as low as $24.95 a week for unlimited classes. Just click here to enquire today!

I'd been going to a gym for the last 4 months or so, and not seeing the kind of results I wanted. I've never enjoyed the standard gym classes like "Spin" and "Pump" so I'd generally do cardio and weights. But I guess you never push yourself as hard as you should. A friend took me to my first Kettlebell class at The TOUGH Spot and I was hooked - you work harder then you would on your own, in a fun and positive atmosphere, doing weird and wonderful exercises you've never seen before. I am now regularly attending up to 5 classes a week!

Kettlebell Testimonial
I've been going to The TOUGH Spot Kettle bell classes for the past 3 weeks now. I'd have to say it’s easily my favourite my class, because you get a great cardio workout without having to struggle.
My first class at The TOUGH Spot, was the Kettle bell class with Alex, it was also the first time I had done Kettlebells, and probably the first time my heart rate was going to increase in 4 months. A lot of firsts!

Treadmill Vs Kettlebells
A common question always asked is, "What is the best way to lose weight". There are certain factors to maximise your true potential for weight loss and those are:
- Muscles used
- Impact
- Elevated heart rate
- Incline
- Resistance
Most people will turn to a treadmill, an excellent choice as it is one of the most effective ways for an aerobic workout. It enables you to elevate your heart rate, its an impact movement, its using the biggest muscles in your body and it can be put onto an incline.
However, a more effective way of losing weight is starting to make more of an appearance in the fitness industry. 'Kettlebells', invented by the Russians, this ingenious piece of equipment can now help you to strip off that excess fat and tone up your body. The reason for this is simple, it has all the same key factors for weight loss as a treadmill but it utilizes almost your entire body which helps you to more effectively burn calories. Not only is it an aerobic work out but it is also an anaerobic workout, meaning you can build muscle at the same time as losing that excess fat.
