The TOUGH Spot is running Power Lifting classes for beginners and has some very attractive memberships available starting as low as $17.60 a week for unlimited classes for corporate memberships or $22 a week for individuals.
Are You as Strong as You Should Be?
Have you ever wondered how strong your muscles really are? Have you ever wanted to walk up to a loaded barbell and see if you could lift it off the floor? If you have been spending years building and sculpting a physique, it’s understandable that you’d like to test your strength – hey those muscles just aren’t for show right?
Well now you have the opportunity to test those muscles. The TOUGH Spot is now offering Powerlifting Programs for Beginners. You will be introduced to the three (3) big lifts – bench, deadlift & squat – and participate in a periodisation program with the goal of course to get you stronger. Strongman and plyometric exercises such as sled pulls and the use of bands will be thrown into the mix too, focusing on strength and power as well as muscular endurance.
Getting stronger isn’t just for athletes, it’s for everyone. Increasing strength has its advantages. We all need to maintain a certain level of strength to perform everyday tasks, more so if you are an athlete that wants to excel. Getting stronger is the most tangible way of measuring progress. Old time bodybuilders would occasionally cycle in a strength cycle and then go back to their bodybuilding, understanding that their increase in strength allows for more stress and ultimately more growth. Hey sometimes you have to show all that muscle is useful for more than just looking good.
